We are seeking an experienced imaging leader to serve as Radiology Imaging Manager for a high-volume, multidisciplinary diagnostic imaging department. This full-time, onsite leadership role oversees a large ambulatory imaging team across multiple modalities, with responsibility for clinical operations, staff leadership, workflow improvement, equipment oversight, and cross-functional partnership in a fast-paced regional healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations for a large radiology department spanning CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, X-ray, and other applicable imaging services.
  • Supervise department staff, including direct reports, performance reviews, coaching, development, hiring, and corrective action.
  • Oversee staffing workflows, PTO approvals, schedule coverage, department communication, and monthly staff meetings.
  • Manage operational performance, including imaging workflow issues, unsigned studies, PACS exceptions, unended exams, and patient access trends.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across ambulatory care, pediatrics, specialty clinics, orthopedics, and other service lines to improve workflows and resolve operational concerns.
  • Monitor equipment issues affecting patient care, coordinate escalation and communication, and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Identify volume and access trends, support business planning, and contribute to capital and resource requests.
  • Maintain accountability for departmental budgets, supply management, and operational resource utilization.
Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic imaging program, bachelor’s degree in a directly related field, or equivalent related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, sonographer/ultrasound technologist, mammographer, or nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Minimum 3 years of radiology leadership experience with direct people management responsibility, including performance reviews, hiring, and employee oversight.
  • Current Washington state credential as one of the following: Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Radiologic Technologist, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist through NMTCB.
  • Strong operational leadership skills with experience in a high-volume imaging environment.
  • Preferred: experience managing 30+ employees across multiple imaging modalities, as well as exposure to budgeting, finance, process improvement, project management, or union environments.
  • Acute care experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits


We offer a competitive compensation package for this imaging leadership role:

  • Base salary: $121,000 – $183,000 per year
