We are seeking a compassionate Dental Hygienist to provide preventive dental care, patient education, and support within a network of community health centers serving medically underserved populations. This full-time position (40 hours/week) offers a supportive environment focused on family wellness and high-quality dental services.


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, conduct medical/dental histories, and perform thorough intra/extra-oral examinations.
  • Take dental radiographs, provide prophylaxis cleaning/polishing, and perform root scaling/planing for periodontal disease.
  • Educate patients on oral health conditions and prevention strategies.
  • Confer with dentists, make specialist referrals, and document all patient activity in electronic records (Dentrix).
  • Set up/break down treatment rooms, perform lab tasks, and follow safety protocols.
  • Support administrative duties, including phones, scheduling, and emergency patient flow as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Valid Massachusetts Dental Hygienist license required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental software.
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and physical stamina.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care in community health settings.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package with full benefits:

  • Hourly rate: $43.00 – $48.00 ($89,440 – $100,000 annualized)
